Species: Celastrina neglecta, Summer Azure

Description: 3/4 - 1 1/8" wingspan; male above, powdery blue usually with indistinct white patch on hindwing; female with much white scaling on both forewings and hindwings.

Habitat: Open areas, fields, disturbed areas

Range: Most of eastern and central United States and southern Canada

Host/Food Plant: Dogwood (Cornus), New Jersey Tea (Ceanothus)
